What a routine inspection usually looks at
In Queensland, the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) says routine inspections check that the property is being cared for and whether there are repair, maintenance or safety issues. The RTA’s own list of things for tenants to consider includes cleaning and tidying, repairing any damage, lawn mowing and gardening, and tidying outside areas like decks and patios.
Those last items are exactly the jobs that tend to slip, and they’re the jobs Flat Out does. Check the RTA website for the current rules on notice and how often inspections can happen.
At the end of a lease
When a tenancy ends, the property is compared against the entry condition report. Walls, doors, windows and tracks, outdoor areas and gardens all get a look. Patching, touch-ups, window cleaning and a garden clean-up done before the exit inspection can make handover simpler for everyone.
